Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) announced that it has hired banking specialist Derek Hrydziuszko to further bolster the firm’s finance offer.
Hrydziuszko joins the firm from Allen &Overy. He has proven expertise in leveraged finance and investment grade transactions where he has acted for a number of U.K. and international banks and financial institutions leading on multi-jurisdictional transactions.
Hrydziuszko has significant lending expertise and has acted for banks lending to investment grade companies. He has also advised clients on restructuring transactions on both the borrower and lender side.
BLP said in a press statement that the hire will ensure the finance team is well placed to meet current and future demand from clients and is in line with the firm's strategy to grow capability through strategic hires.
In the past 12 months the finance team has hired a number of banking & capital markets experts, including Paul Simcock from Skadden Arps who joined in June and Simon Small from Ashurst who joined last month, as well as asset finance expert Keith Wilson. The firm has also recently hired leading project finance expert Andrei Baev, who will split his time between the London and Moscow offices.
