Bingham Expands Investment Management Practice in Los Angeles

Bingham McCutchen hired Michael Glazer as a partner in the Los Angeles office.  The new hire joins the firm's investment management practice group and financial services practice area from Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker

Glazer represents investment advisers and investment companies in all aspects of their organization, registration, operation, acquisitions and liquidations. He also serves as counsel to independent directors of investment firms.

Glazer is the latest addition to Bingham in Southern California. Bingham recently added Christopher Cox, former Securities and Exchange Commission chairman and 17 year U.S. Congressman from Orange County, as a corporate partner in its Orange County office; Nathan Hochman, the former U.S. assistant attorney general, tax division, as a litigation partner in its Santa Monica office; and James J. Thompson as a corporate partner in its Los Angeles office.

Nationally, Bingham recently completed its combination with McKee Nelson. The combination expands Bingham’s presence considerably in New York and Washington, D.C., and allows it to offer a broad range of services to international financial services and Fortune 100 companies.

Glazer is the former chair of the executive committee in the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s business and corporation law section. He was also a member of the State Bar’s corporation committee.
