Private investment firm Belstar Group appointed two senior investment professionals Jeffrey Moses and Simina Farcasiu.
Moses joins Belstar Group as managing director and director of ABS research and analytics. He joins the firm from HSBC Securities, where he was the managing director responsible for ABS and structured bonds for the Americas. In this capacity, he was responsible for the securitization business in the Americas and for managing a 16 person banking, syndicate and analytics team. Before joining HSBC Securities, Moses was a managing director at Bear Stearns responsible for asset-backed securities. He has been involved in the securitization of 175 auto, student, marine loans, credit card and trade receivables securitizations.
Farcasiu joined as a partner of the Belstar Group and senior portfolio manager for the Belstar Credit Fund. She has 20 years of fixed-income and structured product experience. Prior to Belstar Group, Farcasiu was a senior managing director at Bear Stearns, and later JPMorgan Asset Management. As the senior portfolio manager, Farcasiu was responsible for the overall strategy, portfolio construction and trading for the Bear Stearns Structured Risk Partners Master Fund.
