Babson Capital Management has hired Wachovias former vice president of structured debt finance as a product manager in its global business development group.
Loren Sageser, who acted as the head manager for deal structuring and distribution for Wachovias credit opportunity and bank loan funds, will be responsible for investment-grade, high yield and various other debt-related strategies at Babson.
Prior to his time at Wachovia, Sageser was a fixed-income asset manager at Churchill Pacific. He also worked at Horsley Bridge Partners and the Franklin Templeton Group.
A Wachovia spokeswoman delcined to comment.
Babson brought Sageser on board with three other hires Mark Sullivan, Jeffrey Stammen and Joshua Leventhal.
Sullivan and Stammen join Babsons sales team within the global business development group, while Leventhal will act as a product manager for the same group.
Sullivan was recently a managing director and team leader for FAF Advisors public funds/Taft-Hartley marketing and client service group.
Stammen was a director of alternative investment sales at Wachovia. And Leventha was a executive director in JPMorgans capital introductions group.
