ASF To Hold Major Conference in Washington

Departing from its usual spot in Las Vegas, the American Securitization Forum will be holding its annual 2010 conference in Washington, D.C.

The gathering, which will be held at the Gaylord National Hotel, will start on Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 of next year.

The change of location to Washington D.C. from Las Vegas — where the conference has been held for the past several years — reflects the increasingly prevalent role of government intervention in the securitization industry. As the conference announcement highlights, there will be a strong participation by regulators, policymakers and thought leaders.

Registration to the conference is now open and online registration lasts until January 15, 2010. There will also be special early registration rates for issuers and investors through July 15.
