ASF Releases Conference Agenda

The American Securitization Forum (ASF) released its detailed agenda for its ASF 2011 conference that will be held in Orlando, Florida from Feb. 6-9.

The trade group also released the names of the more than 250 confirmed speakers for the securitization event. According to a press release from the ASF, close to 5,000 market players are expected to attend.

The speakers includesenior policymakers from the Federal Reserve Bank, the U.S. Treasury, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the Federal Housing Administration.

The ASF should be announcing the person delivering the major keynote address, who is expected to be a senior U.S. policy maker in the coming days.

Conference panels will be focusing  on a range of the main issues affecting securitization, such as mortgage underwriting trends, the government's future involvement in mortgage finance and the overall outlook for the different ABS markets. The other panels will tackle the future RMBS servicing model and the business impact of credit ratings' regulatory removal.

“ASF 2011 is the industry’s ‘must-attend’ event of the year,” said Tom Deutsch, ASF executive director. “We’ve put together a conference agenda which covers all of the major issues facing the worldwide securitization industry, as well as every market segment.”
