ASF Conference Moves to Orlando

Moving away from Washington D.C., the American Securitization Forum (ASF) has announced that its annual conference, ASF 2011, will be held in Orlando, Florida next February.

The event is set from February 6 to 9, 2011 at the Orlando World Center Marriott.

The conference, which used to be held in Las Vegas, was held in Washington, D.C. this year to be closer to where the center of government is.

This seemed fitting since the ABS market is currently working with government agencies such as the Securities & Exchange Commission and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. on various regulatory issues.

"The ASF has chosen to hold ASF 2011 in Orlando, Florida for several reasons," said Tom Deutsch, ASF executive director said about the change in venue. "The city offers large hotels with adequate meeting space for the more than four thousand people expected to attend. The city has numerous direct flights which means minimal travel times for most attendees and there's usually good weather which reduces the possiblity of schedule disruptions. We're excited about heading to Orlando!"
