ABN Amro Expanding Loan Platform

ABN AMRO appointed Patrick Keleher managing director and head of loan syndication in North America, a new role at the Dutch firm.

Keleher, who joins from Credit Agricole-Corporate and Investment Bank New York, will support the build-out of ABN Amro’s energy, commodities and transportation lending businesses. He will be based in New York and report to Vincent Goedegebuure, global head of loan syndications in Amsterdam, and Boris Kwantes, country executive in New York.

The appointment is part of ABN Amro’s plan to extend its loan syndication and distribution platform globally.

At Credit Agricole, Keleher was a director in the loan syndications group where he spent over six years and was responsible for loan origination, loan sales and loan trading. Before that,  he spent two years as senior vice president for distressed loan sales and trading at Credit Research and Trading LLC in Stamford, Conn.
