ABN adds to European ABS effort

ABN AMRO hired three new bankers to boost its European commercial real estate securitization platform.

Doug Tiesi joined ABN in a dual role as head of European principal finance and head of Italian asset securitization. Tiesi, formerly head of European real estate finance at Credit Suisse First Boston, will be based in London, reporting to Selwyn Rayzor.

Goetz Michl, who structured real estate-backed deals at HVB, has also ABN. He will be based in Frankfurt and focus on origination and structuring of CMBS and RMBS products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Goetz reports to Hans Juergen Fritz, head of ABS for those countries.

Finally Andrew Haines has joined ABN to focus on the origination and execution of U.K. CMBS securitizations. Haines, formerly from Edinburgh House Estates, a private property company, will be based in London and report to David Newby, head of European CMBS and head of U.K. and Ireland securitization.
