Wishengrad Moves to Guggenheim’s Securitization Team

Former Barclays co-head of US securitization,Cory Wishengrad will make a move to Guggenheim Securities, where he will join as a senior managing director.  

Wishengrad will focus on further developing the firm's capabilities in asset-backed securities, according to a company press release.  He will join the firm in February.

 “Guggenheim Securities is the optimal platform for the structured products business," said Wishengrad. "Their established investment banking franchise in key industry sectors such as Retail, TMT, Healthcare, Industrials and FIG and their securitized products sales and trading capabilities will complement the securitization team's efforts to offer the most effective, tailored and complete solutions for clients."

At Barclays, Wishengrad co-headed the U.S. securitized products origination group with the newly appointed Martin Attea.  He joined Barclays from Lehman Brothers where he had been since 1999. At the time that Barclays acquired Lehman, Wishengrad headed the esoteric asset-backed securities group.
