Veteran ABCP Player Logan Resigns from Barclays

ABCP conduit professional Mary Logan has opted to take a package from Barclays Capital the last week of October to take a career break.

Logan became a recognized market participant while running Barclays' multi-seller conduits called Sheffield Receivables and Salisbury Receivables. She is also known for her involvement in helping to shape industry responses to the various regulatory initiatives affecting the sector.

Logan, a veteran in the field, began her career as an analyst at Barclays right after business school and became involved in the ABCP conduit business at its inception in the early '90s.

After a number of years where she focused on deal structuring and execution, she became head of conduit management and became responsible for portfolio and liquidity management as well as for relations with investors, rating agencies, and regulators.

Jay Kim, co-head of the bank's asset securitization group, will be oveseeing Logan's previous responsibilities in the interim until a final solution can be found, according to officials from the bank.
