U.S. Bank Taps Ferguson for New Role at Securities Services Unit

U.S. Bank has hired James Ferguson to lead global strategies and product development for its securities services division.

In his new role, Ferguson will work with all of the securities services business units to build product and service offerings and to deliver a more unified and seamless client experience.  He will be located in the New York City U.S. Bank office.

Most recently, Ferguson was the executive director and global head of alternative investment services for J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for profit and loss, strategic planning, and operating model for clients globally. Prior to that he served as executive director and chief operating officer of global fund services for J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for all day-to-day management of the business line and was the global process owner in charge of the design and effectiveness of all key systems and operational controls to support the overall control agenda in eight countries.

“As a senior financial services executive with extensive knowledge of trading operations, asset servicing, middle office, fund accounting, and risk and controls, James is a fantastic addition to the U.S. Bank team,” said Bryan Calder, head of U.S. Bank securities services. “His global management experience will both help continue to build our business and further enhance our services to clients.”
