Craig Eastmond has been appointed managing director of capital markets at United Realty Capital, the company announced today.
He will be based in New York and report to Barry Funt, the president of United Realty Capital.
In his new role, Eastmond will give advisory, placement, corporate finance and investment banking services to United Realty, its affiliates, joint ventures and/or related third-party accounts. He is also responsible for originating and executing arbitrage opportunities in the commercial real estate and finance space.
Eastmond has 20 years of experience in originating, structuring, underwriting and executing commercial real estate and related transactions and has done over $10 billion of CRE and related finance deals – from fixed rate permanent loans to preferred equity, CDOs and swaps.
Prior to joining United Realty Capital, Eastmond was one of the founding principals of Allegiance Investment Advisors, a boutique private equity and structured finance shop that executed over $750 million of commercial real estate and related debt transactions, and a senior vice president in charge of the northeast region of Deutsche Bank's real estate mortgage conduit.
