UBS appointed heads to its new global capital markets group, an effort by the bank to combine the primary and derivative businesses of its equity capital markets and debt capital markets groups, according to published reports.
David Soanes will run the global capital markets group in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Tom Fox will run the business in North America and Steven Barg will run the Asia-Pacific group, reports said.
Soanes will continue to co-head the financial institutions coverage group in fixed income, currency and commodities (FICC) with Jamie Robinson. Fox is currently co-head of equity capital markets and Barg is head of equity capital markets in Asia-Pacific.
