Two Harbors Hires Former TARP Chief

Two Harbors Investment, a unit of Pine River Capital Management, has hired David Miller as a managing director to oversee business development and strategic initiatives.

Miller is the former chief investment officer for the Office of Financial Stability at the U.S. Department of Treasury, where he managed the Troubled Asset Relief Program. He was awarded the Treasury Medal in recognition of his distinguished service and exceptional leadership by Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner earlier this year.

Previously, he held various positions in the private sector at both HBK Capital Management and Goldman Sachs.

Miller "brings a wealth of experience and knowledge gained through his distinguished career in both the private and public sectors," said Two Harbors President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Siering. "His expertise will be invaluable to Two Harbors as we continue to capitalize on growth opportunities in the mortgage REIT sector.”
