Global alternative asset manager Canyon Partners has appointed Thomas Hansen as a partner and chief financial officer. Based in Dallas, where Canyon Partners is headquartered, Hansen will oversee all the firm's finance and operations, the company announced.
Hansen joins the firm from Oak Hill Advisors, an alternative asset manager with $110 million under management. He was most recently its chief financial officer after spending a decade at the firm, when he helped guide the firm through its acquisition by T. Rowe Price.
"Thomas brings deep financial and operational expertise, as well as extensive expertise supporting the evolution of leading alternative asset management firms," according to a statement from Jonathan Kaplan, Canyon's partner and co-chief operating officer.
The company also announced that Luis Silva will continue as Canyon Partners' chief financial officer, and Sheridan Mansfield will continue as chief financial officer of Canyon Partners Real Estate, its direct real estate investing arm.
