SWIP Adds ABS Expertise

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has boosted its fixed-income team by appointing Sarah Wall as senior ABS investment analyst.

Based in SWIP’s London office, Wall reports to Daniel McKernan, head of European and U.K. credit, and works within SWIP’s credit team.

Wall has more than 11 years’ experience in the financial industry, most recently at M&G Investments where she was director of ABS restructuring and before that, director of ABS credit research.

Previously, Sarah worked at Fitch Ratings as associate director and N M Rothschild & Son in corporate finance, transport and infrastructure.

“Sarah’s appointment is important as SWIP continues to evolve its Credit capability – this new role brings the U.K. and European Credit team to a total of 17 as we aim to deliver consistent strong performance across our retail and institutional portfolios," said Daniel McKernan, head of European and U.K. credit at SWIP. "Her ABS expertise will position us well to continue to build on the successes we are already seeing in this area.”

With £67.3 billion in fixed income and cash assets, SWIP's fixed-income team is one of the largest in the U.K. by assets under management.
