Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Adrian Walkling as the new global head of financial institutions sales, financial markets. He will be responsible for all product sales to institutions globally, with the exception of credit.
Walkling is based in Singapore, and reports to David Carr, global head of sales, financial markets.
According to Carr, the appointment of Walkling will bolster the banks’ ability to provide value-added solutions to clientele. It also marks the beginning of growth in the institutional sales business for Standard Chartered.
Before the appointment, Walkling was co-head of fixed income, currencies, and commodities for EMEA at UBS.
Before that position, he was the head of foreign exchange and money markets for EMEA at UBS, after holding senior structuring and sales appointments at Credit Suisse.
