StanChart Appoints MENAP Capital Markets Head

Standard Chartered has appointed Steve Perry as head of capital markets for the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan, according to a company release.

Perry will also be retaining his position as the global head of project, aircraft and shipping finance syndications.

The new appointee, who is based in Standard Chartered's regional headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Center , oversees the regional securitization, loans syndications, debt capital markets, and sovereigns  businesses. He is also responsible for structured finance deals for Standard Chartered Bank in the project finance, shipping and aircraft financing sectors globally.

Perry joined Standard Chartered in 2004 and has more than 13 years experience of syndicating structured offerings in the international syndicated loans market. 

Salman Ansari will also expand his responsibilities to assume the role of regional head of debt capital markets for the Middle East and North Africa and Pakistan. He will be leading the regional debt capital markets business and managing the sovereign and supranational franchise.

Salman joined Standard Chartered Bank in 2009 and has over 12 years' experience in bond markets. He previously held positions at Lehman Brothers and Nomura.
