SNR Denton Boosts Capital Markets Group

SNR Denton has hired Ricardo Martinez as a partner in its capital markets group. Martinez, who joins SNR Denton from Allen & Overy, will reside in the New York office.

Martinez represents commercial banks, multi-lateral institutions, export credit agencies as well as other development financial institutions in complex domestic and cross-border project and leveraged finance deals.

He also helps clients with letter of credit and trade finance offerings including pre-export financings and the buying and selling of account receivables.

Fluent in Spanish, Martinez has closed transactions involving Latin American countries in the course of his career. He also previously was at Citigroup as senior vice president and counsel.

“Rick’s strong background in project finance and trade finance will help us grow those business lines in the Americas, including our work across the financial institutions and funds sector, and is an excellent complement to the outstanding reputation that our partners in London and our other locations enjoy in these practice areas,” said Stephen Kudenholdt, co-chair of SNR Denton’s capital markets practice. “In addition, Rick has a very strong Latin American finance background, which will help us grow our capital markets business in that region.”

“SNR Denton is very well known throughout the global banking industry, particularly in the fields of project and trade finance, and represents a perfect platform for me to continue to grow my cross-border practice,” said Martinez. “I look forward to providing my clients with the enhanced benefits that are now possible through collaboration with my new colleagues worldwide.”
