Seix Brings on John Wu to Build Out CLO Business

John Wu has been hired by Seix Investment Advisors to help expand the firm’s collateralized loan obligation (CLO) platform.

He will serve as managing director of structure capital markets for leveraged finance at the Park Ridge, N.J.-based subsidiary of RidgeWorth Capital Management.

Wu was most recently with CIFC Asset Management, where he was co-head of structured products, senior portfolio manager and managing director. During his time at the firm, he oversaw various structured product portfolios and managed 15 CLO new issue/refinancing transactions.

Earlier, he was head of CLO structuring at UBS and with Deutsche Bank’s global credit trading unit, where he was responsible for CLO banking, structuring and origination.

During his career, he has also created financing structures for credit hedge funds, business development companies (BDCs) and asset managers.

George Goudelias, managing director, head of leveraged finance and senior portfolio manager at Seix, said Wu is “well-known and highly respected” in the CLO marketplace and will be a “great addition to the team.”

As of Aug. 31, Seix had $28.8 billion in assets under management. Its fixed-income products are tailored for the leveraged finance and investment grade markets.
