Sapient Global Markets and Standard and Poor’s Valuation and Risk Strategies (S&P VRS) announced their formal partnership in a statement today.
This joint venture aims to provide clients with improved valuation of ABS and MBS, as well other structured finance securities. It will also help increase transparency in support of more accurate risk management for large volume portfolios containing these securities.
According to the release, this deal makes S&P VRS the first data and cash-flow engine provider for Sapient Global Market’s new Structured Finance Risk Manager (SFRM), which uses both software and services to automatically value, monitor, and manage the resulting risks from these securities.
