Principia Appoints Foundakos to New Sales Position

Principia Partners appointed Jason Foundakos as sales and business development executive based in New York.

He will oversee the firm's U.S. sales efforts and report to Doug Long, executive vice president of business strategy who is based in Principia's London office.

Foundakos joined Principia in 2007 from ABCP conduit manager BSN Capital where he was assistant vice president. Since then has played a primary role in Principia's U.S. client support and key account management. He has worked closely with clients to maximize their use of Principia's structured finance platform.

Aside from Foundakos, Nick D'Amico, who was formerly portfolio manager at Robeco Investment Management and advisor at Lennox Advisors, has joined Principia's U.S. client support team.

The firm has been looking to expand its U.S. and European sales teams in response to growing interest in its ABS and fixed-income investment management software solution.

Meanwhile, Mark Kahn, who was appointed in 2007 as the firm's executive vice president in sales, has recently left Principia. At the firm, Kahn was directly responsible for managing global business development and for further strengthening its structured finance sales pipeline.

Kahn has joined Actualize Consulting as managing director. Actualize Consulting is a firm that specializes in business process engineering and technology implementations for financial institutions.
