Pali Capital hired Matt Goldfarb, Peter Levine and William Tillinghast as part of an expansion of its new high yield sales and trading team.
Goldfarb and Levine are additions to the leveraged loans sales and trading business, while Tillinghast joins the high yield and distressed sales members of the team, according to Charles Howard, managing director and head of high yield.

Before that, he was a director at the Blackstone Group/GSO Capital Partners, as well as a senior member of the credit team. Prior to Blackstone, Goldfarb was corporate council at Icahn Associates, and then moved on to Pirate Capital.
Levine, also from Tradition, was most recently an assistant trader and loan closer. Before that, he was a trading associate at LM Isis Capital Partners, after working as a production assistant at ESPN and first an English teacher for the Nova Corp. in Tokyo.
Tillinghast, prior to Pali, was a member of the investment banking and private capital group at SMH Capital, before which he was a distressed securities salesman to institutional investors for DebtTraders. He was also a managing director at Shultze Asset Management, and originally a senior salesman at CBIC Oppenheimer, focused on emerging market debt in addition to high yield and distressed securities.
