Paladin Advisors Hires Managing Partner in Advisory Services

Structured finance advisory firm Paladin Advisors hired Steve Campo as a managing partner in advisory services. Campo has over 30 years of experience as an accountant, issuer, financial guarantor and advisor in the ABS industry.

Previously, he was a managing director at Westwood Capital Advisors and a partner at Ernst & Young in the firm's financial services risk management practice.

Campo was also a managing partner for the structured finance advisory services practice at Ernst & Young where he headed up a 200-member team. Before Ernst & Young, he was a senior managing director and the head of structured finance group at MBIA Insurance Corp. responsible for oversight of the financial guarantee business in the MBS and ABS areas.

Campo has served two terms on the Executive Committee of the American Securitization Forum (ASF), served as a member of the ASF Board-Level Subprime Mortgage Finance Task Force and currently serves as a member the ASF Advisory Board.

“Steve Campo’s distinguished career in the structured finance marketplace will provide added depth and experience to Paladin Advisors. Our advisory practice will benefit greatly from Steve’s expertise and we are delighted that he has joined our team,” stated Carl Webb, managing partner of Paladin Strategic Partners.

“We have a great team of very talented people. We are confident that we can work with our clients to help them address some of the problems they are confronting in today’s very difficult marketplace,” Campo said.

Paladin Advisors’ management team's background focuses on all facets of the structured credit markets such as credit risk assessment and mitigation, asset, security and portfolio level valuation, and cash flow analysis. The firm covers RMBS, ABS CDOs, CLOs, consumer ABS, synthetic, corporate and commercial assets.
