Wells Fargo this week launched a new unit to provide financial services to publicly traded REITs involved in commercial properties.
Rex Rudy, based in Charlotte for the bank, and a former managing director of real estate syndicated finance at Wells Fargo Securities, was named to lead the REIT finance group.
The new unit will provide loans and corporate banking services to REITs.
The group's primary offices will be in Charlotte, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Rudy reports to Chip Fedalen, executive vice president and head of the Wells Fargo Commercial Real Estate.
