New Chief Executive at RBS Asset Management

RBS Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland, appointed Kate O’Neill as head of distribution.

This is a newly created position reporting directly to Philip Basil, chief executive at the firm. O'Neill will have global responsibility for the distribution of RBS Asset Management’s fund products to institutional clients. All existing asset management sales people will report to O'Neill and will work with her to build a global distribution network.

O'Neill joins RBS Asset Management from Henderson Global Investors where she was head of pan-European distribution and hedge funds. Before joining Henderson in London in 2001, Kate worked for its then parent company AMP in Sydney for five years as head of risk and operations in its private equity business.
