NewOak has re-hired structured finance veteran Neil McPherson as head of business development, the boutique financial consultancy said Tuesday in a press release.
McPherson was a member of the team that launched NewOak in 2008.
He will now head the firm’s efforts in bringing in and cultivating clients across its business lines: valuation and risk advisory, litigation consulting and dispute resolution, mortgage credit services and financial technology.
According to his LinkedIn profile, McPherson had initially left NewOak to join index-provider Markit, where his most recent position was global head of structured finance. Prior to his first shortlived stint at NewOak, McPherson was a managing director at ABN Amro, where he ran the structured finance syndicate desk.
And before Joining ABN, he headed ABS/CDO research at then Credit Suisse First Boston.
