Natixis has hired Suresh Hathiramani as head of fixed-income trading for its Americas platform.
He reports to Denis Prouteau, head of fixed income, commodities and treasury (FIC&T) Americas. Suresh joins Natixis from BBVA, where he worked since 2001, first in Madrid and then in New York.
Since 2008, Suresh had been executive director and head of trading for BBVA in New York.
Suresh assumes the duties previously held by Eric Chouteau, who has been appointed global head of foreign exchange, and is based in Paris.
Suresh’s appointment supports Natixis’ commitment to providing its North and Latin American customers with a wide range of hedging market solutions in the areas of foreign exchange, interest rates and commodities.
