MountainView Capital Holdings, Denver, hired Robert Wellerstein as a managing director in the firm's mortgage and fixed-income sales and trading units.
Wellerstein is an industry veteran with experience in sales and trading of mortgage loans, servicing rights and fixed-income securities. He will be based in Los Angeles.
He joins MountainView from Banc of Manhattan Capital, where he served as senior vice president of whole loan and fixed income sales and trading.
Previously, he worked for 17 years at Countrywide Securities Corp., where he was responsible for sales of all fixed-income products, including agency servicing portfolios, residential whole loan pools, MBS and Community Reinvestment Act loans.
He began his career at Hamilton, Carter, Smith and Co., a servicing brokerage and advisory firm.
