Mischler Financial Taps Beranek to Expand Structured Fin

Mischler Financial Group, Inc. has named Patrick Beranek as managing director, structured products.

He will oversee primary market activities of structured products under Robert Karr, the company’s head of capital markets.

Beranek has over 20 years of experience in the industry, most recently as the head of asset-backed trading at Royal Bank of Scotland. He has also managed asset-backed trading and syndicate at Mizuho Financial Group and Bank of America, and served as a portfolio manager for the Federal National Home Mortgage Corp.

In regards to the ABS market, Karr said, “Given current economic drivers, a longer-term interest rate outlook and the demand for quality, non-core fixed income instruments, we're confident that Pat will prove instrumental in the course of elevating Mischler's role in the primary market for structured products and help bring compelling opportunities to our institutional investor base."

Mischler Financial is the oldest and largest minority investment bank and institutional brokerage that is owned by service-disabled veterans. The firm was established in 1994 and is headquartered Newport Beach, CA, with regional offices in Stamford, Boston, Chicago, and Detroit.

Dean Chamberlain, CEO of Mischler Financial, said in the statement, "We are very pleased to add Pat to our team. Having worked with him before, I know that he has a unique skill-set that will further bolster our structured finance capabilities."
