KeyBanc Expands Real Estate and Industrial Teams

KeyBanc Capital Markets has made four new hires, which signals an expansion in their industrial and real estate divisions. The firm announced the hires today.

Michael Hawkins and Robert Woomer have joined as directors in the real estate investment banking group.

Hawkins and Woomer both joined from Keefe, Bruyette and Woods, where they co-established the real estate investment banking group. They were previously directors in the real estate investment banking unit at Wachovia Securities.

“Michael and Robert come to KeyBanc Capital Markets with extensive relationships and expertise in real estate finance,” said David Gorden, managing director and head of the real estate investment banking group. “Their experience in real estate capital markets transactions will enable us to foster new relationships and continue to grow our already significant presence in this market.”

KeyBanc also hired Greg Byrnes and Greg Munsell as managing directors for the capital markets industrial group.

Byrnes was most recently senior vice president of corporate development for Carlson Co. He was previously a managing director at Deutsche Bank.

Munsell joins the firm after seven years at UBS, where he was a managing director for the global industrial group. Before his time at UBS, he spent five years at Morgan Stanley in their mergers and acquisitions department.
