Liz Frederick has been named the new managing director of Kane USA, a global provider of specialist insurance management services.
Frederick will take up her new position in March. Her appointment comes after the departure of Elizabeth Steinman. Frederick is currently global practice head for Kane’s Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) business. Along with her new role, Frederick will continue in her role as ILS Practice Head.
The new appointee has extensive experience in the structuring and ongoing management of a range of ILS and captive structures such as catastrophe bonds, side cars, segregated account transformers, pure captives, rent-a-captives and special purpose financial captives.
The company also announced that it plans to expand its Cayman team with new appointments to be announced soon.
In January 2012, Kane announced that it had raised additional funding from its principal shareholder, CBPE, to invest in a new office in New York.
