Jefferies & Co. has hired Lisa Pendergast as a managing director in the MBS/ABS/CMBS group of the fixed-income division. Her responsibilities will include strategy and risk for CMBS, as well as strategy for other structured commercial and multifamily real estate products.
Pendergast has over 20 years of industry experience.
Most recently, Pendergast was a managing director in the fixed income strategies group at RBS Greenwich Capital. Before that, she was a CMBS research analyst at Prudential Securities.
She is also the president-elect of the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association (CMSA), as well as a member of the editorial board of the CMSA quarterly journal called CMBS World.
This is the latest in a series of hires by Jefferies as they work to expand their fixed-income platform. The group is the principal operating subsidiary of Jefferies Group and is based in NYC.
