The securitization conference season just added Oct. 27 to 29 to its calendar with the International Institute for Business Information & Growth’s inaugural consumer finance symposium at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
iiBIG’s symposium will focus on the current state of the consumer finance, distressed debt, and asset-backed securitization markets for a variety of asset classes: mortgages, education loans, credit cards, automobile and equipment, retail consumer debt, CLOs, commercial paper, and more.
Rita Karsadi, managing director of iiBIG's finance division will organize the event. She was previously at Strategic Research Institute (SRI) and is credited with being the original organizer of the asset securitization conferences series at SRI.
The company noted in the press release the growth driving the securitization industry today. Consumer finance, distressed debt and securitization have rebounded from the economic downturn of 2008-10 while adapting to new legislative and regulatory constraints.
"Consumer Finance and securitization industry professionals will be pleased to know that conference sponsorship and registration fees will be significantly less than they have been required to pay at other events in this market," said Karsadi.
Information Management Network has traditionally hosted its ABS East event in Miami, FL in late October. However this year the group announced it was moving its conference to Oct. 6 to 8, in order to accommodate the number of industry events in mid to late October.
