The ramp up continues.
HSBC Securities has hired George Smith from Bear Stearns and Rob Diorio from CDC IXIS North America.
This follows last week's shake up when HSBC -- parent of Household International, one of the largest finance company's in the U.S. -- poached three senior members from ABN AMROs asset-backed group: structurers Dan Costin, Cyrus Mohebbi and syndicate head Caroline Morrill.
At Bear Stearns, Smith led the ABS syndicate and trading desks. Prior to CDC, Diorio was a co-head of the securitization group at Merrill Lynch.
