Henderson Hires from Deutsche

Henderson Global Investors hired Ganesh Rajendra as head of advisory and research in the firm's structured products team. He will focus on global structured debt markets, including mortgages and ABS.

In this new role within Henderson’s 15 member structured products team, Rajendra will spearhead the firm’s portfolio advisory and recovery business cantered on the global structured debt markets, to include mortgages, ABS and leveraged loans.

Rajendra was previously at Deutsche Bank as managing director and head of securitization research in Europe and Asia.

Before joining Deutsche, Rajendra worked at Merrill Lynch in the international structured credit research group.

"The appointment of someone of [Rajendra's] calibre is a clear statement about the opportunities arising in, and our commitment to, the advisory space in structured credit markets," said David Jacob, CIO, listed assets at Henderson. “We have already secured some excellent advisory mandates during 2008 and we continue to see some very interesting and broader solutions-driven opportunities ahead, including in the leveraged loan and commercial real estate markets."

As a financial services provider,  Henderson offers its institutional, retail and high net worth clients access to investment professionals in arange of asset classes, such as equities, fixed income, property and private equity.

Its principal place of business is located in London and has £49.5 billion ($72.9 billion) assets under management as of Dec. 31. The firm employs around 840 people worldwide.
