Helios AMC, a commercial real estate special servicer which is sponsored by Ranieri Partners, has acquired real estate advisory firm The Situs Companies. The combined entity will retain the Situs name.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
Situs provides such services as strategic advisory, due diligence, valuation services, loan servicing, asset management, variable and dedicated back office outsourcing, brokerage, disposition and technology solutions.
Helios CEO D. Keith Johnson will serve as CEO of the merged companies, while Situs co-founder Ralph Howard will become the president of European operations. Another Situs principal, Steve Powel, will become president of North American operations while co-founder Martin Bronstein will serve as president of Situs Asset Solutions.
Helios AMC executives, Eric Lindner, co-founder and executive managing director, and John Maute, co-founder and managing director, will continue in their current roles, overseeing the distressed asset acquisition and special servicing business.
The combined company employs over 400 professionals and is headquartered in Houston, with 12 offices across the U.S. and Europe.
