O’Melveny & Myers has poached Jaroslaw C.K. Hawrylewicz from Barclays Capital, according to a press release from the law firm Monday.
Joining O’Melveny as senior counsel, Hawrylewicz has a depth of experience in structured products and derivatives.
“Against a rapidly evolving and increasingly complex regulatory backdrop, equity and other derivatives will remain a critical component of financial risk management, strategic planning, and deal structuring for our corporate and investment banking clients,” the release said.
At Barclays, Hawrylewicz headed up the equity derivatives and synthetics legal group. He has been active participant in the formulation of new regulations under the Dodd-Frank Act, the release said. Before Barclays, Hawrylewicz was counsel at Lehman Brothers, wehre he handled business in the area of corporate and private client equity derivatives.
