Guy Carpenter & Co. has named Philippe Renault as president and CEO of the firm’s Paris operations effective Sept. 1.
Renault will report to Nick Frankland, CEO of Guy Carpenter’s European operations. He will be a key member of the firm’s international leadership team and will drive new business production in the French markets.
With more than 30 years of reinsurance experience in France, the new hire previously held senior management positions with Benfield, Paris and was most recently deputy chief executive officer of AonBenfield, France.
Before joining Benfield in 2000, Renault was with Sorema/Groupama and CECAR Reasssurances/Guy Carpenter.
