Guy Carpenter & Co. named Patrick Ryan as Irish market representative effective June 10, the firm announced today.
Ryan, based in Dublin, will report to Guy Carpenter’s London office as a managing director. He previously served as regional director of Willis Re's reinsurance operations in Ireland.
“This appointment adds further depth and quality to our U.K. and European operations, and signals our clear intent to build a position as the leading reinsurance intermediary in Ireland,” said Nick Frankland, Guy Carpenter’s CEO of European operations. “[Ryan's] many years of experience in the Irish marketplace, combined with his extensive knowledge of the worldwide reinsurance marketplace, will prove extremely valuable assets as we build on our capabilities across the region.”
