Guggenheim Hires Deutsche CLO Pro

Guggenheim Securities has hired Mario Verna as a managing director in its fixed income group, a Guggenheim spokesman confirmed.

Verna will focus on CLO originations. He will work with asset managers and banks, advising them on managing risk and capital associated with their corporate loan portfolios.

Verna reports to Ron Iervolino, senior managing director and head of the fixed income sales and trading at Guggenheim Securities.

Verna joins Guggenheim after 11 years with Deutsche Bank, where he ran the bank's $25 billion balance sheet securitization program.  Prior to Deutsche Bank, Verna originated and structured CLOs for asset managers while at Chase and JP Morgan.
