Ginnie Mae issued $37.8 billion in MBS in July. Meanwhile, Ginnie Mae II single-family pool issuance reached over $21.8 billion, while Ginnie Mae I single-family pools were close to $14.6 billion.
The total single-family issuance for July was more than $36.4 billion while Ginnie Mae HECM MBS (HMBS) was over $872 million in July. The agency's multifamily MBS issuance reached $1.4 billion.
July's issuance brought the agency's portfolio to more than $1 trillion in outstanding principal balance. This represents the firm’s efforts to finance nearly 8 million homes for families across the country.
