FTSE Group appointed Ronnee Ades as business unit head in alternatives. Ades will be responsible for driving growth within FTSEs existing alternative asset class index series, which includes REITs, commercial property, hedge funds, private banking and infrastructure. She will also focus on identifying opportunities in new alternative asset classes.
As head of the alternatives business unit, Ades reports to the Director of Product Management Paul Hansford. She will be based in FTSEs New York office together with Mike Bruno, fixed-income business unit head.
Ades was previously at Dow Jones Indexes where she was most recently senior director of institutional markets. She was also executive director of the Dow Jones Wilshire Indexes technical advisory committee.
Ades is also on the corporate advisory board of the Pennsylvania Association of Public Employees Retirement Systems (PAPERS). Before her stint at Dow Jones Indexes, she was senior business manager in the international specialty products division at Church & Dwight.
