Former Harvard Portfolio Manager Joins PIMCO

Marc Seidner has landed at PIMCO, where he takes on the role of executive vice president and portfolio manager at the firm’s Newport, California office.

In June, Harvard Management Co. (HMC) announced Seidner’s departure. At HMC, he served as head of domestic fixed-income investing for three years.

In his new role at PIMCO, Seidner will help manage the firm’s bond portfolios, in addition to contributing to the “formulation of the firm’s investment strategies, according to a release.

"Marc is a seasoned and extremely talented investment professional,” said Bill Gross, co-CIO at PIMCO. “We are delighted to have him on PIMCO's portfolio management team. His addition will help to further strengthen our ability to deliver value to our clients."
