The European Securitization Forum (ESF) and Information Management Network (IMN) said last week that they have agreed to co-host the industry's annual conference in Barcelona, representing the biggest event of the year for the pan-European securitization market.
The conference will take place on June 10-13 next year at the Hotel Arts and is billed as The Global ABS Summit. Previously, the ESF and the IMN held separate events. Last year the ESF conference was held in Venice, while the IMN has traditionally held its securitization conference every year in Barcelona at the same hotel.
The Global ABS Summit, which is expected to have over 4,000 attendees, aims to bring together a substantive, informative and educational program as well as serve as a networking opportunity for industry professionals, regulators, investors, issuers and other market participants.
"This enables the European securitization industry, as represented by the ESF, to combine forces with IMN to create a market leading event, which addresses all asset classes," said Rick Watson, managing director of the ESF. Global ABS will provide the platform for excellent education, technical and policy discussion that is run within the IMN's established conference organization."
