DoubleLine Launches New Fund to Invest in MBS/ABS/CLOs

DoubleLine Capital's the DoubleLine Funds Trust launched the DoubleLine Low Duration Bond Fund.

The open-ended fund will buy principally in debt securities. Its eligible investments include MBS/ABS, other securitized products such as CLOs , corporate debt, foreign securities, emerging market securities, inflation-indexed bonds, bank loans and assignments, preferred securities, and other instruments bearing fixed or variable interest rates of any maturity.

Philip Barach, Luz Padilla and Bonnie Baha are the portfolio managers of the fund.

Barach is president and co-founder of DoubleLine Capital and a senior portfolio manager in the firml's MBS group. He is co-manager of the DoubleLine Total Return Bond Fund with Jeffrey Gundlach, CEO of DoubleLine Capital.

Padilla heads DoubleLine's emerging markets fixed-income group, which manages investments in fixed-income issues of corporations and governments in emerging markets. She is manager of the DoubleLine emerging markets fixed-income fund.

Meanwhile, Baha heads DoubleLine's global developed credit group, which invests in fixed-income securities issued by governments and corporations in developed market countries, including the U.S.

Barach will hold a Webcast on Oct. 14 to discuss the new fund.
