Dresdner Kleinwort Benson (DKB) in Australia has hired Andrew Zanchetta as director of structured finance. Zanchetta was previously in charge of securitization at non-bank mortgage lender Rams Mortgage Corp., a prolific securitizer of its mortgage loans.
However, he will not be focusing on the well-served mortgage securitization market, but instead will lead DKB's efforts towards non-vanilla, non-mortgage deals.
Securitization experts consider Australia to be the second most developed mortgage-backed securitization market in the world behind the U.S., but add that it lags the development elsewhere for non-mortgage deals.
