Credit Derivatives Vet Joins Traccr Limited

Credit derivatives pioneer Thomas W. Jasper  has joined credit derivative trading portal Traccr as a strategic adviser.

Jasper, who is widely recognized for the depth of his expertise in the global credit derivatives market, will primarily advise the Traccr on the launch of its business and planned U.S. expansion.

Jasper is currently the managing partner of Manursing Partners, LLC and a founding partner of PremieRe Insurance.  Most recently, he served as CEO and a director of Primus Guaranty, Ltd., a company he joined in 1999 and led over the past decade.

During his tenure, Primus established the first credit derivatives company (CDPC), an innovative business model for selling credit protection to global financial institutions, expanded into asset management and became a New York Stock Exchange-listed company.   At its peak, Primus managed a $24 billion credit swap portfolio and $3.7 billion in structured credit assets.

Prior to joining Primus, Jasper served for 17 years as a key executive of Salomon Brothers, Inc and its successor companies.   While at Salomon, he established its interest rate swap business, managed its debt capital markets platform and served as CEO of the Asia Pacific Region and as global treasurer in New York.  He also co-founded the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) and served as its first co-chairman.

Jasper currently serves on the Boards of the Blackstone GSO Senior Loan Fund, Blackstone/GSO long-short credit income fund and three non-profits. Recently, he joined the advisory board of PRIME Finance, a specialized institution for dispute settlement in the OTC derivatives market based in The Hague.
