Dan Toscano is leaving HSBC Holdings. He joined the bank in January 2008 as co-head of leveraged and acquisition finance in the Americas along with Tom Cole.
The two were responsible for all aspects of the bank’s leveraged acquisition financing activity in the region, from origination to distribution and trading. They also expanded the bank's event-driven investment grade and non-investment grade financing capabilities.
Cole will remain at the bank, and become sole head of leveraged finance upon Toscano’s departure.
Toscano joined HSBC from Deutsche Bank, where he was head of senior debt capital markets in New York. He landed at Deutsche Bank through its acquisition of Bankers Trust Co. in 1999.
While Toscano declined to comment, HSBC confirmed the departure in a brief statement.
